On Saturday afternoon, 18-year-old Payton Gendron opened fire outside of a Tops grocery store in Buffalo, New York. The mass shooting resulted in the deaths of ten innocent shoppers. Gendron was said to have carried out the attack due to his white supremacist beliefs.

The shooter streamed the entire massacre on Twitch. Payton Gendron left behind a manifesto echoing several racist talking points. There is more than enough evidence available to put Gendron behind bars for life.

Payton was arraigned in Buffalo City Court on Saturday night, according to WKBW. The alleged killer plead not guilty through a public defender. Gendron told the judge he was not able to afford an attorney. Brian Parker will act as his legal counsel.

“As far as any further reading of the following complaint I would waive that at this point and enter a plea of not guilty on behalf of my client.”

The suspect is currently being held without bail. Prosecutors informed the court they intend to convene a grand jury. A felony hearing is scheduled for Monday at 9:30 AM.

The FBI is investigating the shooting as a hate crime. The evidence left behind by Payton Gendron is damning. Time will tell if the shooter intends to continue with this legal strategy or if he will work with prosecutors towards a plea bargain.
