French Montana’s stock as a rapper in the world of hip-hop continues to rise as he brings his own unique flavor to the industry. Montana is aware of how much one has to struggle to make it big in the business. However, that doesn’t mean he is immune to paying a lot of money for reasons beyond his control.
According to TMZ, French Montana has been ordered to pay a significant amount to his pool worker. This comes after his dog severely injured the worker a few years ago.
A California jury found French’s German Shepherd, Zane, to be the main culprit in the vicious attack against Juan Lomeli. French Montana was first sued by Lomeli back in 2018. At the time, Lomeli alleged that French’s dog went beserk on him when he was working. The dog lunged at him and sunk his teeth into his arms, which caused a very gruesome injury.
Lomeli testified the injuries were severe enough for him to miss out on work for a long time, claiming that he suffered a huge financial loss. In the end, the jury awarded Lomeli $129,500 in damages.
That ruling includes $39,500 in past economic loss, $60k in non-economic loss (pain/suffering etc.), and another $30k for future non-economic loss. This will serve as a costly reminder for French Montana.
We hope such an incident never happens again. Hopefully, French Montana will be able to control his K-9 pal in the future. Keep checking back with Thirsty for more!
