Ten people were killed and several others were left injured when a white supremacist went on a shooting rampage in Buffalo, New York. The incident resulted in the arrest of 18-year-old Payton Gendron. Before carrying out his attack, 18-year-old wrote a 180-page screed about “replacement theory.” He also wrote up a storm on his weapon before the terrible attack.
As the world mourns the tragedy that occurred in Buffalo over the weekend, new information about the killing, which allegedly occurred at the hands of 18-year-old Payton Gendron, have emerged. According to a new TMZ report, the young man’s weapon – a black Bushmaster XM-15 assault rifle – was emblazoned in racist and nasty language before to the grocery store attack.
It was claimed hours after the shooting that Gendron’s actions were racially motivated. Images of his weapon appear to substantiate that. “N****” was scribbled on the barrel, along with comments like “Here’s your reparations” and “SYGAOWN.”
If you’re unfamiliar with the acronym, “SYGAOWN” stands for “Stop Your Genocide Against Our White Nations.” The firearm also had Dylan Roof’s name on it, the guy who slaughtered nine Black congregants at a church in South Carolina and John Ernest, who killed one woman and shot three others during a visit to a San Diego synagogue in 2019.
It’s also worth noting that, prior to the current shooting, Gendron wrote a 180-page manifesto about “replacement theory,” which is a false narrative that white people are being overpowered by people of color and Jews, among other things. The 18-year-old appeared in Buffalo City Court for his arraignment hours after the incident and pleaded not guilty.
Gendron is set to return to court on Thursday for further proceedings. Keep checking back with Thirsty for more details on this tragic situation.
