Elon Musk may be undecided about Twitter, but he’s taking political stance. Elon stated on Wednesday that while he previously supported for Democrats, he will now vote Republican.
The world’s richest person claims to have long been a supporter of the Democratic Party, which he describes as the kindness party. “They have become the party of division and hate,” he said, “so I can no longer support them and will vote Republican.” This comes at a very interesting time for Musk.
In the past I voted Democrat, because they were (mostly) the kindness party. But they have become the party of division & hate, so I can no longer support them and will vote Republican. Now, watch their dirty tricks campaign against me unfold
Musk has been a vociferous opponent of the Biden administration’s and Democrats’ ideas to tax billionaires and increase tax incentives for union-made electric vehicles. Tesla’s plants in the United States do not have unions.
Musk feels Twitter can be a beacon of free speech and has already stated that he believes Trump’s ban was foolish and that he would welcome him back on the platform. Going public with his new GOP-affiliation will undoubtedly raise a few eyebrows, particularly on Twitter.
Elon says that he’s currently conducting research on Twitter before making a decision. As for his political flip he expects the Democrats to launch a “dirty tricks campaign” against him. We will continue covering Elon Musk and all of his antics here at Thirsty!
