Kourtney Kardashian Would Not Marry Travis Barker Without Her Grandmother Present

Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian are currently one of the most talked-about couples in the celebrity world and for good reason. Their constant PDA continues to make headlines as fans can’t get enough of the two. There is also a good reason she wanted her grandmother at her wedding in Santa Barbara.

As previously reported, Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker got fake married in Las Vegas by an Elvis impersonator earlier this year. Fans then wondered when they would get married for real.

Fans did not have to wait long as the two recently tied the knot in a secret wedding ceremony in Santa Barbara. The two shared photos from their wonderful wedding as well.

According to Hollywood Life, Kourtney Kardashian did not want to get married unless she had her grandmother Mary Jo Campbell by her side. Campbell detailed her health struggles throughout the pandemic.

However, Kourtney Kardashian made sure her grandmother was there for her wedding. Only a few bodyguards, Travis’ father Randy Barker, and Campbell were there for the wedding.

“Kourtney is Kris’s firstborn child and because of this, she has always had a super special bond with her grandmother MJ. Having her by her side as she became Travis’s wife was so important to them both and it was one of the most special moments of their lives. They both got emotional during the small ceremony.

The two of them are very much alike and they will be the first ones to tell you that. When Kourtney wanted to have this wedding to make it official, MJ was the one she went to for advice. She wanted it super small and intimate and told MJ that she only wanted her there. Kourtney knew that they could not have one of her sisters without having all her sisters there. She knew that they could not have one of their children without having all their children there.

Because MJ is older and has suffered previous health conditions in the past, she’s considered high-risk and has taken extra steps throughout the pandemic to ensure her safety. MJ had been in isolation during the pandemic longer than anybody else in the family. It was a very lonely time for her to be away from her family for that amount of time. And the family was very upset over it, trying to make her as comfortable as possible during that time. But now that she’s been out of isolation, Kourtney knew she wanted MJ to play a special role in her life.”

There will be a real wedding ceremony in Italy in the near future and it is sure to be one worth remembering. Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker are truly couple goals and fans couldn’t be happier for them. We’ll have to see whether they end up having kids as well.
