Uncle Snoop Dogg has been spending a lot of time in the metaverse. He is gearing up to bounce back in the real universe with a new album announcement. Snoop has now teamed up with EDM pioneer Steve Aoki to form Alpha Doggz.
The Da Da EP will be released by Snoop Dogg and Steve Aoki. The album will be released on May 23rd exclusively through blockchain-based Gala Music in collaboration with Death Row Records. Snoop Dogg said about the collaboration during a Gala Music-hosted AMA session.
We plan on giving people access to buying and trading some of these classic songs, classic records that were the foundation of Death Row. We [also] plan on bringing great music and great artists [to the label]. This is what Death Row is all about, trying to expand and take it to new regions.
The exclusive free Da Da single “Super Freak” featuring October London will be sent to Gala Music x Snoop Stash Box customers. The “Holy Grail” single will be given to A0K1VERSE Passport holders. The remaining tunes, “Da Da,” “Girls,” and “How I Do It,” will be released to the public on May 23.
Snoop Dogg’s discography already includes albums like Doggystyle from 1993, Tha Doggfather from 1996, Da Game Is to Be Sold, Not to Be Told from 1998, Tha Last Meal from 2000, Tha Blue Carpet Treatment from 2006, Reincarnated from 2013, and BODR from 2022.
