Taylor Swift’s Boyfriend Gushes Over Her Honorary Doctorate

Taylor Swift first began dating actor Joe Alwyn more than four years ago. Their relationship turned out to be an intimate but private one, and they’d be a united front in protecting that privacy. Taylor Swift’s longtime boyfriend recently expressed his joy at his sweetheart obtaining an honorary doctorate from New York University.

Joe Alwyn, star of “Conversations with Friends,” gushed over Taylor Swift receiving an honorary degree from New York University. As she earned the Doctor of Fine Arts, honoris causa degree at the university’s commencement event, Alwyn addressed Extra about Swift’s accomplishment.

It’s an incredible honor, it’s absolutely amazing.

The Grammy winner posted to Instagram just hours before the ceremony at Yankee Stadium. The “All Too Well” singer waved to the Bronx crowd as she walked over the field and up on stage, dressed in a black cap and purple gown. In a March press release, NYU praised Swift as “one of the most prolific and celebrated artists of her generation.”
