Dave Chappelle needs no introductions as far as being a stand-up comedian is concerned. The comedian made the news earlier this month after a man rushed the stage during a recent performance. That attacker was quickly apprehended and found to be carrying a fake gun with a knife attached. It turns out that things could have been much worse.
23-year-old Isaiah Lee was charged with felony assault and was being held on $30,000 bail. He was also beaten up and bloody, something that 50 Cent did not fail to make fun of.
Fans online found out that Lee had a rap song named after Dave Chappelle and that there have been rumors about what motivated him to go after the comedian. Now it seems there is a surprising development in Lee’s case.
According to a report by KTLA News in Los Angeles, Lee “faces one count of attempted murder” for allegedly stabbing his roommate. They were living in “a transitional housing apartment” last December when the incident apparently took place.
The alleged victim contacted the police after he saw Lee on the news in connection to Chappelle’s attack. Lee also plead not guilty to all charges related to Chappelle and this alleged attempted murder. We’ll keep you updated on this ongoing story right here at Thirsty!
