Pepsi is celebrating National Pizza Party Day in one of the strangest ways possible. The soft drink giant has done what absolutely nobody asked for and combined pepperoni with the sugary cola drink. It is not being received well on social media thus far.
Pepsi announced the new pie on Twitter. Followers reacted by ripping the idea to shreds. A ratio of over 290 quote tweets to just 91 retweets was filled with negative comments on the idea. Pepsi is calling it “a sweet and spicy collab no one saw coming.”
“Whichever marketing “genius” came up with this needs to be sent directly to prison”

“No one saw coming or no one actually wanted?”
“Pizza infused with sugar with a side of more sugar to drink?”
For those with adventurous tastes, Pepsi will be offering a free tasting at Made in New York Pizza in NYC today from 11 AM to 3 PM. The company also plans to take its cola-infused pepperoni to Detroit, Los Angeles, Miami, and Chicago shortly.
