Bray Wyatt was considered a creative genius by many fans for the majority of his run in WWE. That is exactly why his WWE release blinded many fans and also pro wrestlers alike. Vince McMahon also never saw Wyatt as a top guy in WWE despite the fact that Wyatt became such a popular star on the roster.
Many fans felt that Wyatt was simply far too creative to be in WWE. This is evident from the fact that the company ended up dismantling The Fiend, instead of pushing the character as an unstoppable force.
While speaking on the Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, Matt Hardy talked about Bray Wyatt’s run in WWE. Hardy stated that McMahon never really saw Wyatt as a top guy in WWE.
“Because ultimately Vince didn’t see him as such. You know if you’re a guy like you know Undertaker you’re going to be treated differently when you’re older, obviously, you know someone like John Cena, obviously Roman Reigns is the tippy top guy then you’re gonna have other guys who like cycle in and out of those things. You know Cesaro got close there at the end, you had times where Braun Strowman was up and down.”
Vince McMahon also punished Bray Wyatt if he didn’t like his creative contributions in WWE. Bray Wyatt’s father previously stated that he is far from done with pro wrestling. We’ll have to see when Wyatt will finally make his return to the pro wrestling world.
