Dan Snyder is the owner of the Washington Commanders and has been a controversial figure as of late. Snyder has been accused of a lot of unsavory actions, as fans are aware by now. In fact, NFL owners are counting votes to get rid of Dan Snyder.

Snyder has been accused of creating a toxic culture involving its own cheerleaders. Another allegation stated that Snyder and the Commanders held two separate accounting books.

In fact, the Commanders are currently being investigated by Congress as well. To add to that, there are more issues that have plagued the team, leading to more PR damage than they can handle. This includes financial questions surfacing during their probe and leading to an investigation by the Federal Trade Commission and the Virginia attorney general.

There’s growing frustration about the Washington situation and not over one issue, but over how much smoke there is,” an anonymous team owner told USA Today. “I think everybody’s getting tired of it.”

Dan Snyder is still denying all the allegations meted against him. Should there be enough evidence against him, then he might get fired in the end. The Commanders were already fined $10 million from the aforementioned toxic culture probe.

“If [the financial improprieties] happened, I think that’s the nail in the coffin,” said a second owner to USA Today. “We are counting votes.”

In order to remove Dan Snyder as an NFL owner,  24 votes would be needed among NFL ownership. By the looks of it, voting has already started. We’ll have to see whether he will be kicked out or not.
