Dwayne Haskins’ death hit the football world in a big way. Now new results have been revealed by investigators.

TMZ reports that an examiner investigation was released on Monday showing that Dwayne Haskins “drank heavily” and ingested ketamine just hours before his death. He also had a blood-alcohol level of 0.24 at the time of the April 9th incident.

According to the Broward County Medical Examiner’s Office investigation report, a reporter for the Steelers told investigators that Haskins trained with teammates in Miami the whole day on April 8th, after which he headed to a club in the evening with a “friend/cousin.”

It was mentioned in the documents, the reporter told the investigators that Haskins “drank heavily” … and eventually got into a fight. Just hours later Haskins was found dead on a Florida Highway after being hit by a dump truck.

Haskins had a “female companion,” in his car. The investigators said that the woman told them Haskins had left the car on foot in search of a gas station. However, the relationship of the woman with Haskins was not mentioned in the documents.

Investigators came to the conclusion that Haskins died due to multiple blunt force injuries, and that his death was an accident. Since the incident, several memorials were held in his honor. Haskins’ wife, Kalabrya got herself a sleeve of tattoos to remember her late husband. Haskins was only 24 years old and our thoughts still go out to his family.
