Venus Williams & Serena Williams’ Father Richard Williams Accused Of Lying About Having Dementia

Richard Williams became a household name after Will Smith portrayed him in the Academy Award-winning “King Richard.” Williams is the father of tennis legends Venus Williams and Serena Williams. Richard has been in the news lately because of his high-profile divorce from Lakeisha Williams.

As part of those divorce procedings, it was revealed that the pair had reconciled their relationship. Lakeisha claimed Richard was active and healthy. She even said that the couple engaged in “weekly sexual relations.”

Before Lakeisha requested a stop to the divorce, it came out in court that Richard Williams had brain damage and was suffering from dementia. Richard’s estranged daughter, Sabrina, has criticized those claims, according to Radar Online.

“Wow, that doesn’t sound like someone who’s had two strokes, come on, he doesn’t even have dementia! I’m done with playing like that. He needs to stop playing all the time.”

With the divorce on hold, there may be no reason for the truth to legally come out. Sabrina thinks her father is full of it. Serena and Venus have not commented publicly on the controversy.

We may never know the truth about Richard Williams’ condition. If he is lying, his motivations might also stay secret. Either way, his daughter Sabrina thinks the entire story is fishy.
