Brendan Langley was arrested for simple assault after a scuffle with an employee of United Airlines at the Newark Airport this week. Langley was caught on video throwing punches and knocking the worker down. The United staffer was left in a bloody heap.
The video shows that the United Airlines employee was the first person to lay hands on the other. That doesn’t justify Langley’s actions for many. Among those critics was Alec Baldwin.
According to The Shade Room, Alec Baldwin left a comment on a video of the fight. Baldwin said Langley’s big mouth was what caused the issue to escalate to violence. He believes Brendan should be placed on a no-fly list.
“The guy working at the airport is the victim. He came to work to do a job. The other guy, with his big mouth, is guilty of workplace abuse, where people come to work with an expectation of safety, even civility. This a**hole who hit this guy should be put on a no fly list.”
Alec Baldwin is no stranger to workplace safety issues. The actor accidentally shot and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of his movie “Rust.” It appears he is now taking a stand for employee safety.
A criminal investigation is still being conducted regarding the Rust shooting. Nobody involved in the production has officially been cleared of wrongdoing. Alec Baldwin was traumatized by the incident and does not want to see other people get hurt when they’re just trying to do a job.
