Cody Rhodes departed from AEW earlier this year and it truly shocked fans who believed he’d stay with AEW forever. He would end up in WWE a couple of months later and is now a mainstay there. He also addressed potentially being the cover star of WWE 2k23.
Cody Rhodes has been booked as a proper star since his return to WWE and it is evident by his presentation and just how much the company trusts him. As previously reported, WWE tried to include Cody Rhodes in WWE 2K22.
However, there simply wasn’t enough time for the developers to include Cody Rhodes in the game as part of future DLC packs. On Tuesday, wrestling podcaster James Stewart mentioned how Cody Rhodes should be the cover star for WWE 2K22.
Cody Rhodes saw James Stewart’s tweet and decided to reply to it, as he did not necessarily make it clear if he wants to be the cover star or not. Instead, he just praised the developers.
I don’t know the talented folks at @WWEgames – but I’m a pretty decent gambler and I would bet they’re working very hard on something special for pro wrestling fans
WWE has been speculated to be in talks with Electronic Arts (EA) over the rights to the company’s WWE Games business. So, the future of the 2K games is under question right now. Regardless, we’ll have to see if Rhodes ends up being on the cover of the next game or not.
