As previously reported, Doja Cat stated that she quit her music career after an argument got out of hand on Twitter. She revealed that she was not really kidding either.

In addition to that, Doja Cat recently revealed that she had a gruesome surgery after finding growth in her tonsils. The singer ended up pulling out of The Weeknd’s stadium tour.

Doja Cat’s third album Planet Her certainly became a hit after it was released last year in June. While speaking with Elle, Doja Cat talked about her new album. The singer revealed that her upcoming album is going to include more rap music than any other genre.

“I’ve rapped since the beginning, and I really couldn’t even sing that well to begin with – I got a lot better. I use my voice as a tool to create these worlds, and it’s fine if people think that I can’t rap.”

Nicki Minaj was also an influence on Doja Cat as a businesswoman. Cat is still recovering from her surgery, so it might be a while until she drops her next album. It remains to be seen when Doja Cat will finally release her upcoming album.
