Brock Lesnar dropped the WWE Championship to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 38 in a title unification match. He won the title back at Elimination Chamber in February after defeating everyone else in the Elimination Chamber match. Bobby Lashley has now called out Lesnar for a huge WrestleMania 39 match.
During the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event earlier this year, Bobby Lashley challenged Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship. In the end, Lashley won the match after Paul Heyman turned on Brock Lesnar.
The two have not clashed since then, but their story might not be over. While speaking on WWE The Bump, Bobby Lashley issued a challenge to Brock Lesnar for a rematch at WrestleMania 39 next year.
“We’re in L.A. next year, right, for WrestleMania? If we’re in Hollywood it’s a big matchup. For me, I’ve always had these really tough challenges going into WrestleMania, which, of course this one- it has to be another big one. Me and Brock (Lesnar), we still have a little score to settle. I have a win over him and then he ended up winning my title back but we’re not done. We’re not done.”
WrestleMania 39 will emanate from California’s SoFi Stadium on April 1 & 2, 2023. With Roman Reigns likely to face The Rock at the event, perhaps Lesnar and Lashley will duke it out at the Show of Shows. We’ll have to see whether that match happens or not.
