WWE and AEW are in a pro wrestling war and Tony Khan is playing hardball. He’s known to get on Twitter and sling shade and this time he took aim at WWE’s recent venue change.
This year’s Money in the Bank Premium Live Event was originally scheduled to be held inside the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. However, very slow ticket sales forced WWE to move the event to a smaller venue. This was not lost on Tony Khan, who decided to throw some shade at WWE.
WWE announced that the July 2nd event now be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. This was first reported by Brad Shepard, which WWE later confirmed. The MGM Arena is also much smaller in size compared to the Allegiant Stadium.
It is to be noted that the Money In The Bank event was going head to head with the UFC on the same night in Las Vegas. AEW President Tony Khan took to Twitter and threw massive shade at WWE for trying to go against the UFC.
