Conor McGregor shockingly fractured his ankle at the end of the first round of his UFC 264 fight against Dustin Poirier last year. Things only went downhill for McGregor after that, as he managed to incite the rage of many people thanks to his antics. There is also concern about his career being on the downside.
The Notorious One has been working hard on his road to recovery since last year. He has always kept fans up to date on his progress and they couldn’t be happier for the Irishman.
Conor McGregor previously revealed that he will not be making his return to the UFC as a lightweight. This is because he plans on competing in the 170 pounds division.
While speaking on his YouTube channel, Michael Bisping talked about Conor McGregor’s return and the state of his career. Bisping made it clear he is concerned that McGregor’s career is on the downside.
“I’m sure he [McGregor] will box again, probably when he’s done with his UFC career. But his UFC career isn’t just beginning, let’s be honest. I would say, respectfully, his UFC career is on the downslide now.
That’s what’s going on with McGregor’s career. Maybe I’m wrong. Maybe he knocks out Kamaru Usman and becomes the welterweight champion. But I don’t think that’s gonna happen. He’s lost three out of his last four [fights].”
Conor McGregor was also mocked for being an Instagram fighter. Conor McGregor is expected to make his UFC return in July this year. We’ll have to see whether he can win his comeback fight or not.
