Fans of Formula One are divided after A-listers refused to interview long-time pundit Martin Brundle. The embarrassing situation occurred on Sunday afternoon at the Monaco Grand Prix.

When the British Sky Sports reporter attempted to talk to “Bridgerton” star Simone Ashley and “Euphoria” breakout Jacob Elordi during his pre-race grid walk on Sunday, they awkwardly turned their backs.

“Is this Simone?” Brundle asked the question on live tv as he tried to approach Ashley ahead of the star-studded race in Monte Carlo. As he approached Ashley, her security guard intervened to inform Sky Sports’ Brundle that “She doesn’t want to do any TV,” to which Brundle responded, “She doesn’t want to do any TV? Well, we’re kind of halfway there already.”

Brundle continued:

“It’s so good to see her on the grid. I’m not going to push, but I’d like to have a chat with you.”

When Brundle was rejected yet again, he sarcastically remarked, “That’s fine, whatever.” In recent months, the presenter has hit the headlines for awkward encounters with rapper Megan Thee Stallion, tennis champion Venus Williams, and basketball player Paolo Banchero, whom he misidentified as star quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Numerous fans of the sport, however, consider Brundle as an institution and have called the actors “disrespectful.” Stay tuned to Thirsty for more updates.
