AEW President Tony Khan has a lot of love when it comes to the world of professional wrestling. That doesn’t mean he isn’t without his fair share of controversies, as many fans feel he simply lacks maturity in many aspects. In fact, he has upset WWE in a huge way with his most recent dig at the company.
This year’s Money in the Bank Premium Live Event was originally scheduled to be held inside the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. However, very slow ticket sales forced WWE to move the event to a smaller venue.
Tony Khan took that as an opportunity to throw major shade at WWE. He even clapped back at a fan who dragged him for his comments about WWE.
According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Radio, Tony Khan upset many people in WWE over his dig about WWE moving the Money In The Bank event to a smaller venue.
People in WWE were furious about this tweet. Furious about this tweet, because they moved to a smaller building.
Tony Khan will never stop taking shots at WWE and that is also unlikely to change by the looks of it. On the other hand, AEW stars are now more open to signing with WWE. We’ll have to see how AEW Double Or Nothing will turn out to be on May 29th.
