The Game has been wanting to start a rap feud with Eminem for quite some time. He believes he is a better rapper than Slim Shady, a claim that only the bold have joined him in. The Compton rapper is now on a press tour in support of his unreleased Eminem diss track.
The Game spoke about music and basketball on Showtime Basketball’s All the Smoke podcast. He announced that he is a better rapper than Eminem during the interview. The Game recognized Eminem’s glory. However, he claims that no one listens to his music anymore. To make matters worse, he told co-host Matt Barnes that no one plays Eminem’s music in the club, locker room, or streets.
“I don’t hear Eminem in the streets. I’m just a better rapper.”
Most critics believe this is merely a publicity stunt on The Game’s part. It’s largely a win-win situation. Even if Eminem does not react, calling him out creates a lot of buzz in the rap industry. And if he does, it will undoubtedly capture the attention of the entire world.
However, the strategy has not been completely successful thus far. Eminem has yet to respond. His fans have fired back in great volume in which Eminem’s songs can still be heard everywhere. Notably, one such resurfaced video shows LeBron James in his locker room singing along to an Eminem rap.
LeBron James has long been a fan of Eminem. There are clips of him lip-syncing to Eminem’s songs from when he was a Cavaliers player in 2010. It wasn’t unexpected when fans discovered a video of him rapping to Eminem’s song in the Heat locker room from years ago. This is a great refutation to The Game’s claim that no one in the locker room listens to Eminem.
The Game vs. Eminem has been a single-sided battle for the most part. Over the years, Eminem has had numerous feuds with various rappers. Joe Budden, Ja Rule, Nick Cannon, and others are among them. Stay tuned to Thirsty for more updates.
