Nancy Pelosi’s Husband was arrested for DUI on Sunday. Officers caught him in Napa county and he was taken in for 2 instances of a misdemeanor. Now, more details about the incident have popped up, including a nonfatal car collision before the arrest.
New updates about the arrest of Paul Pelosi come into light as the new day dawns. TMZ reported that Paul was involved in a car crash, and that’s how officers spotted him. At 10:26 PM Saturday night, the CHP got a call about a 2-car crash in the Napa area.
Paul was driving a 2021 Porsche when his car was struck by a Jeep. He was arrested at 11:44 PM and booked into the Napa County Detention Center for DUI. The Jeep driver was not arrested in the event as Paul was responsible for the crash. According to the reports, no one was injured in the crash.
Nancy’s husband was driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol content level of 0.08 or higher. The exact count of the number has not yet been revealed but it was high enough for him to be arrested. No word on whether the Speaker herself was with Paul during this bust has yet been confirmed.
Nancy has been in DC as her job requires her to be there almost every day. However, during this Memorial day week, she might have accompanied Paul to their home. Although this seems a bit far-fetched at the moment since it appears she’s in Rhode Island for a commencement speech to graduates there.
The bail of $5000 has been handed to Paul and that’s hardly a sum to affect them financially. As Paul’s bail is very inevitable, a statement from his wife would be the most awaited form of confirmation we’d be looking forward to.
