On Tuesday, tragedy struck when a shooting occurred at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, killing 19 children and two adults. Now SoulShine Industries is creating personalized caskets for 18 of the 19 students and one of the two teachers murdered in the shooting.
According to BuzzFeed News, Trey Ganem, the owner of personalized casket company SoulShine Industries, has stated that he is donating his talents and time for free. He said that it normally costs upwards of $3,400.
Ganem shared this story on Facebook with an update for those who are interested. This was a terrible tragedy that touched so many. Now those who lost their lives will have a suitable place to rest.
“Please pray for Uvalde !! Im on my way to help families in this tragic time. I was asked to help with the caskets and talk with families. This is something no family should ever have to deal with . My love and emotions are already there ..”
Ganem wrote on social media to let everyone know that, “Caskets arrived early this morning!! We are rocking and rolling with the help of so many. Thank you to everyone who has stepped up to help us and to help the families of Uvalde! We will be tagging and posting a proper thank you to all who have helped soon. Thank you all from the crew here at SoulShine Industries! Continue to pray for the families and all involved.”
Each casket is customized to reflect the interests of each child. However, the shooter, according to Governor Greg Abbott, was an 18-year-old Uvalde High School student. When the gunman slaughtered up to 20 people, audio of students ringing 911 from inside the school is accurate and horrifying.
We send our heartfelt condolences to the victims’ families and friends during this difficult period. For additional information, stay tuned to Thirsty.
