Ellen DeGeneres announced her departure from her talk show after 19 seasons. She needed to get away from it all and went on a holiday with her wife soon after her long-running talk show ended.

On Monday, the comedian and her wife, Portia de Rossi, were spotted in Marrakesh, Morocco. The couple walked the streets of Marrakesh holding hands, passing by vendors selling local goods. Ellen and Portia then sat down next to each other to grab a bite to eat.

Ellen was wearing khaki trousers and a white button-up collared shirt. She also wore sunglasses and did her hair in her usual short style. Portia, on the other hand, was dressed in an orange and white scarf and a blue and white striped sundress. She put black sunglasses and carried a sling bag over her chest.

The Ellen DeGeneres Show aired its farewell episode on May 26th after 19 seasons. Jennifer Aniston, Pink, and Billie Eilish were among the guests for that final bow, and Ellen gave a heartfelt farewell to her producers and home viewers.

“I hope that what I’ve been able to do the last 19 years has made you happy and that I was able to take a little bit of pain away from a bad day or anything you’re going through and I hope I’ve been able to inspire you to make other people happy and to do good in the world — to feel like you have a purpose.”

The show’s finale came after a difficult 2020 for Ellen and her team, in which some employees claimed that the talk show was a “toxic workplace.” During the incident, Ellen apologized to her workers, and an inquiry into the allegations began.
