Kevin Spacey Will Voluntarily Appear In Court To Defend Himself Against Assault Charges

Kevin Spacey used to be one of the sought after and desirable actors in all of Hollywood. His amazing roles in American Beauty and House Of Cards won him fan adulation and respect among his peers. He will also appear voluntarily in court to defend himself from assault charges.

As previously reported, Kevin Spacey has been charged with four counts of sexual assault and one count of “causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent.

The producers for one of Kevin Spacey’s new films also defended working with him after the assault charges as well. According to Good Morning America, Kevin Spacey plans to “voluntarily appear” before British courts to defend himself against the aforementioned four counts of sexual assault.

Spacey said he is “confident” he can prove his innocence against authorized charges brought by three men involving four separate incidents that were claimed to have taken place 17 years ago.

“I very much appreciate the Crown Prosecution Service’s statement in which they carefully reminded the media and the public that I am entitled to a fair trial, and innocent until proven otherwise. While I am disappointed with their decision to move forward, I will voluntarily appear in the U.K. as soon as can be arranged and defend myself against these charges, which I am confident will prove my innocence.”

Spacey was pretty much shunned from Hollywood after facing allegations from several individuals, including “Star Trek: Discovery” star Anthony Rapp, in 2017. We’ll have to see how Kevin Spacey will be able to defend himself once he appears in court.
