Benzino Released From Jail After Weeks Of Incarceration For Altercation With Ex

Benzino can’t seem to avoid controversies. The record producer and Source founder was launched into controversy after he faced accusations that he had a romantic relationship with a transgender woman. As we reported, Benzino was incarcerated last month and now he is finally a free man again.

After an incident with ex-girlfriend Althea Heart and her partner, the former owner of The Source turned himself in to detectives in May after a warrant was issued for his arrest. Benzino confirmed his release to AllHipHop and sent them an exclusive jailhouse photo. A fan snapped Zino flaunting his muscles while incarcerated in the photo.

His initial arrest was captured on video and went viral. After he skipped a virtual court appearance in April due to COVID, authorities issued a warrant for his arrest. Benzino cooperated with police when he turned himself in last month, despite becoming enraged with cops during his detention.

His romance with Althea Heart was documented on camera when the two appeared on reality television together. Benzino proposed to her during season 3 of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta (2014). They went on to have a son but eventually divorced. Check out the post below.
