The Rock Surprises His Mother With A New Home

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson certainly needs no introduction when it comes to the pro wrestling world as he is still regarded as one of the all-time greats. He is now one of the highest-paid actors in Hollywood. Being such a huge name with a massive fan following. Recently, The Rock brought tears to his mom’s eyes when he surprised her with a brand new home.

The longtime entertainer, 50, took to Instagram to share a precious video of his mother, 73-year-old Ata Johnson’s, shocked reaction. He wrote a heartfelt caption that started, “Love you mom and surprise!”

The video began with his dear mother standing outside the home, which had a large black door in front. It was sound tracked by the sentimental song Over the Rainbow by Israel Kamakawiwo’ole.

When I was a little boy, I hated when my mom would cry ~ these days, I’ll happily take her tears of joy 🥹

I surprised my mom and bought her a new home. Took me and my design team 8 weeks to get it ready, where she could walk thru her front door for the very first time and everything she saw was brand new and a total surprise.

I’ve been lucky enough to have bought her a few homes over the years, but this one is special as she’s told me over and over these past few years, “After a lifetime of traveling, I want this home to be my last. Thats my dream.”

I always say, if you got a good mom then you got a shot at becoming a good, caring human being.
