Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s trial remains one of the biggest topics of discussion in recent memory. Amber Heard was essentially exposed as a toxic person and it all went downhill from there. Now an anti domestic violence group that supported Amber Heard is under fire.
Amber Heard suffered a major loss when Johnny Depp was able to prove in court that she acted in legitimate malice against him when publishing an op-ed piece. She will have to pay Depp a ton of cash.
While speaking to TMZ, Ruth Glenn, CEO of the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, stated that after releasing a statement in support of Amber last week, the group has been, they have been bombarded by Johnny Depp fans.
She said that some of the backlash amounts to impassioned commentary, with some claiming that men cannot be abused. She added that others claimed real domestic violence victims support Depp.
Glenn addressed their statement where they said they were “appalled by the verdict,” which she admits is accurate as her organization believes Amber is the victim in this case. She said that the backlash towards Amber Heard and her supporters is unwarranted and uncalled for.
Amber Heard’s Hollywood career could also be done for good now that the trial is over. She might be completely removed from Aquaman 2 as well. We’ll have to see what will become of Amber Heard.
