It’s difficult not to mention Taylor Swift’s name when discussing the most popular musical artist of today. Swift has sold over 200 million records worldwide and has been considered a pop icon thanks to her influential career and philanthropy work. Swift has made the transition into filmmaking after she directed a short film music video called “All Too Well.” Now, the singer-songwriter is officially calling herself a filmmaker.
Swift arrived at the New York City Tribeca Film Festival to discuss the process of making her short music video. She then surprised the audience in attendance with a performance. Everyone sang along to as Swift started to strum her red guitar. After her performance, she then gave the audience another surprise with a screening of “All Too Well.”
TMZ repots that T Swift caused quite a scene when she landed, but that is typical for her.
The pop star touched down in NYC Saturday to a lot of fanfare, where she was scheduled for an event amid the film festival in which she’d discuss her 10-minute visual offering of “All Too Well” … with Dylan O’Brien and Sadie Sink in the lead roles.
When describing her filmmaking journey, Swift mentioned she had to make edits to her video early on and came up with the outlines on her own. She told moderator Mike Mills that she had to “approach everything differently” when making the short.
Swift has already been cast in David O Russel’s next film. While the singer definitely has a lot of music left to play, it seems as if acting and directing could be her next adventure.
