LeBron James did not have the season ending he desired this year. The Los Angeles Lakers were hopelessly disorganized from the start of the season and couldn’t even make it to the NBA playoffs. The Lakers are currently waiting on LeBron’ decision.
The Lakers are now preparing for the offseason. LeBron will be the man in charge of guiding them in the proper route. However, according to Bleacher Report, it may be problematic because James hasn’t even committed to the team until 2023, when his contract expires a year from now.
Russell Westbrook did not fit in with the rest of the team. It was evident that chemistry would be a problem. They’ll almost certainly have to keep Russell Westbrook if LeBron doesn’t commit.
However, if LeBron signs another two-year contract, the Lakers may consider dealing Russ. Unfortunately, the Lakers do not anticipate LeBron to make any commitments before the NBA Draft, according to the source. This puts the team in a natural dilemma.
They won’t be able to do much without LeBron’s commitment, which means the Lakers may have to revert to a squad similar to last season’s, and we all know how that played out. This may be an interesting subject to keep an eye on, so stay tuned to Thirsty for all of the latest NBA news and updates.
