Ronda Rousey made her debut in WWE back in 2018 and had a tremendous run in the company. She won the WWE RAW Women’s Championship and carried it for half a year. Rousey also explained the infamous botch she suffered at WrestleMania 35.
At WrestleMania 35, Ronda Rousey squared off against Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair in a triple threat match, where both the RAW and SmackDown Women’s Championships were on the line.
Rousey suffered her first loss in WWE as she was pinned by Becky Lynch. However, the match ended in a huge botch as one of Rousey’s shoulders was up during the pinfall.
While speaking on the latest episode of The Kurt Angle Show, Ronda Rousey talked about the infamous botch. Rousey explained that she was trying to help get her shoulder down while it was happening.
“I didn’t think my shoulder was down. I was trying to flatten out to put my shoulder more down. So like that’s what was happening. I thought it was just the very top of my shoulder. So I was trying to shimmy down. So the actual backs of my shoulders were down and I didn’t know that he had already started counting. So or that my shoulder came up during the shimmy. So I was trying to help, but it ended up being awesome because now I have a gripe to revisit.”
We will have to wait and see whether Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey will duke it out in the future. Fans would love to see it happen at the Grandest Stage of Them All, so perhaps it could take place next year.
