Floyd Mayweather In Talks To Become Owner Of NBA Team

Floyd Mayweather is known for his massive riches and bank account, and he might add a huge asset to their collection. Mayweather is always trying to make headlines for one reason or the other. He is now in talks of owning an NBA team.

Recently, the boxing legend said Monday he’s been in communication with the NBA about joining an ownership group to purchase a team.

While speaking to Sam Gordon of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Floyd Mayweather delved deeper into the topic. He admitted he’s avoided public discussion about the idea of him purchasing an NBA team, but there have been talks.

“I’ve been talking to certain individuals for the last six months. That’s something I’ve been working on behind the scenes, but I’ve never came out and publicly talked about that with the media. Me and my team have been working behind the scenes with the NBA. I can’t say exactly where, but I’m working on getting a team.”
