Former Mike Tyson Opponent Lays Out Troublemaker While Working Security

Julius Francis is a former British heavyweight boxing champion. In 2000, Francis had a brush with major stardom when he famously fought Mike Tyson. While he didn’t have the greatest career in the ring after losing to Iron Mike, Julius has still shown himself to be a formidable opponent for troublemakers.

Francis is currently working security at BOXPARK Wembley in the UK. A recent video of him handling an unruly visitor went viral. Julius Francis has received the full support of his employer after knocking the irritating guest out cold.

Roger Wade, the founder of BOXPARK, issued a statement once he learned of the viral video. Wade says Julius Francis spent fifteen minutes trying to stop the man in the video from abusing customers. He followed all the proper procedures and only acted in self-defense when it was necessary.

“Woke up to a viral story about one of our security team. Julius Francis is ex UK heavyweight boxing champion, he is one of the nicest people I have ever met and helps train young underprivileged kids boxing in his spare time.

My understanding is that Juliius and our security team spent 15 minutes stopping this man and his friends from abusing, spitting and hitting our customers and staff. They carefully escorted him from the premises under constant provocation and violence. Finally, the person approached Julius in a confrontational manner and he defended himself.”

The unruly patron happened to pick the wrong person to mess with. Julius Francis showed incredible restraint throughout the incident. When the problematic visitor crossed the line, he simply did what he had to do.
