Amber Heard has received a tremendous amount of negative press after losing her trial against Johnny Depp. However, despite charging Johnny Depp with terrible abuse and admitting he brought her “total global humiliation,” Amber Heard stated that she “absolutely” still loves him.
In a newly released portion of her interview, the first since being ordered to pay her ex $10.4 million for defamation, Heard told NBC News, “Yes. Yes. Absolutely. I love him.”
“I loved him and all my heart. And I tried the best I could to make a deeply broken relationship work,”
In a clip that appeared Wednesday on the “Today” show, she told Savannah Guthrie, “And I couldn’t,” she insisted, “I have no bad feelings or ill will towards him at all.” She went on to say that the love is still there between herself and the Jack Sparrow actor.
“I know that might be hard to understand, or it might be really easy to understand — if you’ve ever loved anyone, it should be easy.”
Through it all, she claimed that the trial met Depp’s promise in a text that if she continued with her charges, she would face “total global humiliation.” She went on to say, “I know he promised it … it feels as though he has.” She said this conceding she was “not a likable victim” on the stand.
Amber stated in her op-ed about being a domestic violence victim, “Of course, I took for granted what I assume was my right to speak.” She stated that the Washington Post “op-ed wasn’t about my relationship with Johnny.”
Amber stated in response to the #MeToo allegations:
“What the op-ed was about was me loaning my voice to a bigger cultural conversation that we were having at the time. It was important for me not to make it about him, or to do anything like defame him,”
Amber now intends to devote her time to becoming a “mom full time, where I’m not having to juggle calls with lawyers.” “I think no matter what, it will mean something,” she responded when asked what she would say to her kid about her high-profile loss.
According to Heard, she made the proper decision and she did everything in her power to defend herself and the truth. Stay tuned to Thirsty for more updates.
