BTS is one of the most loved boy-bands in the world. With millions of devout fans and followers, the reports of the band going on a hiatus made waves everywhere. Fans took to social media in order to cope and sing their praises of the band, but it seems they’re not really going on a hiatus.
The band still stands together, currently active, as per the management of the band. While it’s true that some of the band’s members are going to take some time for their solo projects, they’re not breaking up.
TMZ reports that the translation of the group’s video about their future apparently suffered errors in translation. The subtitles led the English-speaking audiences to believe that they were taking a “hiatus” while that is apparently not the case.
BTS’ representative company HBYE lost $1.3 billion in their market valuation on early Wednesday morning through stock trading. Now the company is performing damage control and letting everyone know that BTS is in fact not going on a hiatus.
The reps even launched a statement, clearing the air about the K-pop singers’ future. The statement says that the members are going to pursue their solo projects, but they’ll be active as BTS in different ways.
To be clear, they are not on hiatus but will take time to explore some solo projects at this time and remain active in various different formats.
Jungkook, BTS’ singer, promised fans that the band will keep their ‘Run BTS’ web series going. He added that after they’re done with their solo projects, they’ll continue making music as BTS. While this definitely reassures the fans, they still went through a day-long panic attack.
