Cardi B Blasts Lizzo Haters For Criticizing Her

Cardi B is known for holding her own against haters. The star has run ins with her haters on social media all the time. She recently blasted one of her fans for making bad remarks about her. Now she’s come to the defense of a fellow singer who recently got boycotted on social media.

Lizzo had to issue an apology after fans called her out for a questionable lyric on her new single “GRRRLs.” One fan pointed out that the use of the word “Spaz” referred to “spastic.” Lizzo’s lyrical choice got criticized among her fans as well as the disabled community.

“Spastic” refers to muscle weakness which is common in those suffering from cerebral palsy. The conditions comes due to damage in either the brain or the spinal cord, leading to problems with muscle control. Cambridge Dictionary defines an “ableist slur” as “treating people unfairly because they have a disability.”

Cardi B suddenly got involved when a Twitter user called her out for using offensive language. She said that Cardi B is light-skinned and slim, and that leads her to get away with it.

Cardi is slim and light-skinned. She will often ‘get away’ with more than other women, especially those who look like Lizzo, will. That’s the world we live in. People may get mad but I don’t care lol Colorism and fatphobia shape SO MANY reactions and extensions of ‘grace.’

The star blasted the Twitter user with a lot of emphasis. She said that it’s every week that something happens and that she has to get dragged into it. Many fans come to support Cardi in her defiant response. Her extraordinary responses often lead fans to believe that she is truly one of the most imitated.
