Drake is a veteran musician and that is very likely why even rappers such as Kodak Black want him as a mentor. He also has a lot of interests outside of making music and that includes expanding his businesses. Drake responded to negative reception over his new album as well.
Drake’s ‘Certified Lover Boy’ album was a huge success both commercially and critically. Keeping up with the momentum, Drake decided to release his new dance album Honestly, Nevermind.
However, the album actually ended up getting more negative reviews. The new album features 14 songs and only one guest appearance from 21 Savage. Drake tried making house music and it didn’t turn out well at all.
During a party for the album’s release, Drake addressed the backlash his album got. As seen in the clip, the Honestly, Nevermind track “Calling My Name” is playing in the background.
“It’s all good if you don’t get it yet. It’s all good,” Drake says. “That’s what we do. We wait for you to catch up. We’re in here, though. We’re caught up already. On to the next. My goodness.”
Drake announced on Thursday night (June 16), he will be dropping Scary Hours 3 soon. We will have to wait and see how the album will turn out to be.
