Drake is one of the most dominating artists in the world of hip-hop. The rapper’s teases for new music get a tremendous amount of traction from his fans, and this time is going to be no different. Drake’s debut music video off his new album is a massive inside joke, and while he and Tristan Thompson are laughing, Khloe Kardashian isn’t.
Drizzy released the video for “Falling Back” recently. The video is a full-fledged wedding celebration, complete with him saying “I Do” to his lovely brides. The video featured 23 attractive women and the man getting him ready for the big day is none other than Tristan Thompson, who’s definitely leaning into his infidelity reputation.
Tristan advises Drake, “Doesn’t feel good, we scrap it, we go home,” while making sure the rapper looks presentable for his 20+ brides. The video blatantly mocks Tristan’s countless cheating scandals, and Drake’s timing for the video was spot-on.
As you may recall, Khloe’s enraged reaction to learning of Tristan’s infidelity with Maralee Nichols, with whom he became pregnant, was featured in Thursday’s season finale of “The Kardashians.” As a result, the release of “Falling Back,” the first single from his “Honestly, Nevermind” album, feels like a sequel or spinoff for the Kardashians. Unless you’re Khloe, it’s fantastic marketing, and Tristan is certainly in on the joke.
Drake’s video was produced by Director X. It has a brief “Free YSL” moment, making him the first rapper to publicly endorse Young Thug and Gunna following their RICO accusations in Georgia. Check out the music video below.
