Billie Eilish is certainly one of the most attention-grabbing singers in the music industry right now. The music sensation’s songs have been chart-toppers for a long time now. Billie Eilish is prepared to go to any lengths to maintain her privacy, even if it’s just for a day.
The “Happier Than Ever” singer admitted during her appearance on The Matt Wilkinson Show on Apple Music 1 that she utilized one of her backup dancers as a decoy while at Coachella this year. Eilish spoke about her body double and said that nobody knew it wasn’t her.
At Coachella, I actually did it because the beginning of Coachella, I had a body double, one of my dancers that was one of my dancers for the show. I dressed her up in a show look that I had worn before. We got a black wig and we put buns in it and we gave her a mask and sunglasses and she wore my shoes and my socks.
I put her up at the back of the stage and she stood there while the lights went on and everybody thought it was me. And nobody ever knew it wasn’t me, literally nobody knew. And while she’s up there, I put on a big black coat and a traffic vest and a hood and just glasses.
During her performance on June 7 at the AO Arena in Manchester, England, the singer also talked about shocking her fans with the new song “TV,” which has not yet been officially published. It turns out that Eilish discovered a version of the song while experiencing airline delays and decided she wanted to include it in her live performance.
The seven-time Grammy Award winner is content with her success as a recording artist, but she misses having the freedom to release a single whenever she wants. For this reason, she played “TV” at her Manchester performance. Check out Eilish’s interview on The Matt Wilkinson Show below.
