Jake Paul simply loves getting under the skin of his opponents before every boxing match. Jake Paul is also never afraid to call out big names in the UFC world for fights, as he has called out the likes of Nate Diaz many times for a fight. At one time, he even called Nate Diaz every day to book a fight against him.
Jake Paul even claimed that a boxing match between himself and Nate Diaz would sell 1.5 million pay-per-views. He even went so far as to claim that a fight against Nate Diaz would be light work for him.
Recently, Nate Diaz demanded his release from his UFC contract so that he could fight Jake Paul. While speaking to TheMacLife, UFC President Dana White was asked about Nate Diaz’s latest comments.
Dana White decided to troll Nate Diaz as he claimed that Diaz should just should The Problem Child, indicating that Diaz’s time with the UFC might be coming to an end.
“I mean, I like Nate. Let’s be honest, Nate’s won one fight in the last five or six years. You know? When these guys get into these positions, you’ve got guys that have been with us for a long time, that we respect, that we care about. You know, you’ve got Cerrones and Anthony Pettis before he left, and you’ve got Nate Diaz and Nick Diaz is still under contract with us. So you want to be fair to everybody, you want to do the right things or whatever. Nate Diaz isn’t going to come in and fight Kamaru Usman.
So listen, we’re trying to do the best we can. We’re trying not to s*** on anybody and disrespect anybody, but it’s not like we’re talking about Kamaru Usman here. We’re talking about Nate Diaz. Nate’s won one fight in five years, so we’re trying to figure this thing out with him. He probably should go on and fight Jake Paul. That’s a fight that makes sense.
Jake Paul is set to headline an event at New York’s famed Madison Square Garden on August 6 against an unnamed opponent. We’ll have to see if he will face Nate Diaz or not.
