Rupert Murdoch & Jerry Hall Parting Ways After 6 Years Of Marriage

Rupert Murdoch is the man behind many popular media conglomerates such as Fox News and Sky News. The media mogul is one of the most famous figures in the industry. The Murdoch family is also a core inspiration for the HBO hit series, Succession.

Mr. Murdoch is apparently parting ways with his wife, as per a report from The New York Times. The report cites “two people with knowledge of the decision” gave them the information on the divorce.

Rupert got married to Jerry Hall, who was Mick Jagger’s famous ex. This is the fourth divorce of the mogul’s life. The divorce is not likely to affect the ownership structure of the huge empire that he’s built. However, there could be turbulence with companies such as Fox News and The Wall Street Journal.

The Times of London, another news company owned by the mogul, reported that the pair first met each other in Australia. Apparently one of Murdoch’s sisters and niece made Hall and his introductions.

Hall and the billionaire got married on March 4, 2016, just a week before his 85th birthday. He’s been through several long marriages. His married with entrepreneur Wendi Deng lasted from 1999 to 2014. His first divorce happened over 50 years ago in 1965, with Patricia Booker, who was an Australian model.
