However, her strong beliefs on trans people have made many fans of her work question whether she should continue to be involved in the movie franchise in the future. Rowling continues to interact with fans; however, a recent prank call might’ve just caused Rowling to stop taking any Zoom calls for a while.

According to TMZ, Rowling fell victim to a Russian-made prank while doing a Zoom interview with who she thought was Ukrainian President Volodymyr  Zelensky. The Rusian-based comedy duo, Vovan and Lexus have been known for prank-calling celebrity names in the past. You can check out the edited video below.

The impersonator told Rowling they’ve been writing “Avada Kedavra” on their missiles, a reference to a deadly spell in Rowling’s wizarding world.

The impersonator also asked about Dumbledore’s sexual preferences, poking fun at Rowling’s controversial social media posts regarding the trans community. A spokesperson of Rowling to the Hollywood Reporter that the entire thing was “distasteful.”
