Henry Winkler, born in New York and rose to fame as Fonzie on “Happy Days,” is currently in another career-high with HBO’s “Barry.” However, Henry recently made it clear that he won’t dance to songs that contain vulgar words.
Henry Winkler had one condition in mind before hesitantly agreeing to dance with his grandchildren on TikTok, i.e. no F word. The Fonz, who has six grandchildren, discussed his newest job title with Page Six.
“I am only a TikTok star because my granddaughter India said, ‘Papa, you have to make a video,’”
Lulu, another of his grandchildren, was choosing the music, and “Papa” intervened there. That’s when he straight said that he would not dance to the music which contains the F word.
“We threw a lot of songs out because I said, ‘I cannot have the word f–k in the music. That’s it, I don’t have a lot of requests but that’s one of them. So we had to go through a lot of songs and then we did it and boom.”
The Pussycat Dolls’ song “When I Grow Up” was featured in the video of the 76-year-old actor dancing cheerfully with India, Lulu, and Ace on New Year’s Day.
More than a million people have seen a clip of him singing an “apple” song to his infant granddaughter Frances in April. The song explains that “apples are red and apples are green and some are yellow.”
The Fonz joked:
“It took me a long, long time to write. I have been singing this song to Frances since she was 2 months old and now she’s 7 months old. And I cannot wait for the day when she sings it with me.”
Winkler told Page Six regarding his memoir project, “I don’t want it to be another autobiography by a celebrity. I want it to be a compelling story that people love turning the pages of. That’s my dream.” However, keep an eye on Thirsty for more updates.
