Beyoncé’s much-awaited single, “Break My Soul,” was released on June 20th. When it was revealed that the song was a dance record, ostensibly intended for an upbeat club or a joyous parade, many fans were surprised. However, the song has been rising in the charts, and everyone is eagerly awaiting her most recent project.
As many people start vibing to the song’s mood, there is one particular person who feels different. The 1990s were extremely successful for singer-songwriter Robin S. She received a lot of attention for her hit song “Show Me Love,” so much so that Queen Bey decided to sample it on her most recent track.
Robin said that she was thrilled to hear Beyoncé using her music as a sample in an interview with Good Morning Britain. She said that her son had informed her about it, telling her that she had been trending online after the song’s release, and it was a pleasant surprise for her.
Robin stated:
“… This message goes out to the Queen B herself, Beyoncé, to Jay-Z, to the entire team. Thank you so much for giving me my flowers while I’m still alive. I’m honored and excited to see what else can happen.”
The singer revealed that Beyoncé sent her a present after the interview. She shared a photo of a bunch of white flowers with a note in the middle on Instagram.
“Thank you for being such a huge inspiration. Thank you for paving the way.”
Robin sent her a warm message of gratitude and appreciated her legacy. However, Robin S thinks that her comeback to prominence will someday result in her collaborating with Beyoncé. Keep an eye on Thirsty for more updates.
