The overturning of Roe v. Wade has led to the eruption of protests across the nation. The protestors want the return of abortion rights for women. Amongst the protestors in Los Angeles, was “Full House” star, Jodie Sweetin.
Sweetin, who was accompanied by other protestors on a freeway in Los Angeles, was met with resistance from local law enforcement. In fact, she got knocked back by members of the LAPD during the protest, resulting in her landing on the floor.
Stephanie Tanner herself spoke to TMZ about the experience. During the interview, she noted that she is “extremely proud of the hundreds of people who showed up yesterday to exercise their First Amendment rights and take immediate action to peacefully protest the giant injustices that have been delivered from our Supreme Court.”
Our activism will continue until our voices are heard and action is taken. This will not deter us, we will continue fighting for our rights. We are not free until ALL of us are free.
In a video originally uploaded to Instagram, the LAPD can be seen blocking the path of the protestors, when Sweetin got close to them, What followed was that Sweetin was pushed back into the crowd, and consequently hit the curb and landed on the floor.
Reportedly, Sweetin is doing fine following the incident. Check out the video of the incident below.
