Usher Gifts LA Reid A Brand New Porsche For His 66th Birthday

Usher always considered LA Reid as his mentor in the music business. The famed record executive recently celebrated his 66th birthday party with a star-studded cast of friends. Usher showed up with a huge gift for the man who broke him into the industry.

At a party where TI, Jeezy, Jacquees, and more were among over 100 of LA Reid’s guests, Usher unveiled a sentimental present for Reid. In 1997, upon the release of “You Make Me Wanna,” Usher received a Porsche 911 as a celebratory gift. At the big birthday bash, he returned the favor.

TMZ reports that Usher gave LA Reid a brand new Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet. It’s the same model LA gifted him decades ago. Reid was allegedly floored by the expensive birthday present.

There have been rumors that LA Reid and Usher are working on something new. Fans who have been waiting a long time for a “Confessions 2” album might be in luck. Usher might just find that studio magic once again.

LA Reid and Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds formed LaFace records in 1989. The label became one of the top destinations for emerging hip hop and R&B artists. Usher became one of the faces of the company.

Usher has sold more than 65 million albums worldwide. LA Reid discovered him when he was only 14 years old. Their long relationship has been very fruitful, and Usher was thrilled to have the opportunity to pay it forward.
