Elizabeth Olsen Doesn’t Follow What The MCU’s Plans Are

Elizabeth Olsen is one of the most important characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As Wanda “Scarlet Witch” Maximoff, she has appeared as a key character in several movies in the hit franchise as well as the spin-off ‘WandaVision.’ Many fans have been clamoring for a standalone Scarlet Witch movie.

With rumors about that project taking off swirling, ComicBook.com spoke with Elizabeth Olsen. When she was asked what she knew, she didn’t have much to offer. Marvel hasn’t told Olsen about their plans.

Elizabeth did have some ideas she’d like to do in mind. She said she would prefer a Scarlet Witch movie to follow the ‘Witches Road’ story arc. She wants to portray Wanda as aging due to using her powers too much.

“I think fans usually have the best ideas, and I genuinely don’t know where we go from here and what the limitations are of the MCU because I don’t follow what their plans are.

I feel like the fans always know what the plans are, even when they’re not announced. And so, I don’t. I do have this image…. There are a few images in my head of, I think they’re from ‘Witches Road,’ as she’s aging and decaying, while using her power and there’s something in that, this older woman, who’s aging from her power, that I’m interested in. And I don’t really know what that means, but I kind of would love to be old.”

Despite her interest, Elizabeth Olsen has no idea if there will be a Scarlet Witch movie. Fans can get their fill of Wanda in the recent ‘Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.’ There might be a long wait before anything new comes out about Wanda getting her own film.
