Jake Paul beat Tyron Woodley in a boxing match back in August 2021, which many fans believed to be nothing but a fluke. Jake Paul rejected a rematch with Tyron Woodley despite him getting a tattoo. However, as luck would have it, Tommy Fury had to pull out from his boxing match, giving Woodley a chance to face Jake Paul once again.
On December 18th, Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley duked it out once again, with Woodley being determined to avenge his loss. However, it didn’t quite turn out the way Woodley had hoped.
While the first half of the boxing match was quite lackluster, the second half more than made up for it. During the 6th round, Jake Paul did the unthinkable and knocked out Tyron Woodley with a vicious right hand that dropped him
Some believe a secret hand gesture gave away the knockout punch and the fight was rigged. Immediately after Jake Paul’s shocking victory, fans suspected the match was rigged from the start. Due to this, ‘rigged’ and ‘staged’ began trending on social media.
While speaking on the Full Send Podcast, Logan Paul talked about the highly controversial match. Logan Paul explained why the match was not fixed.
“It’s a timing thing. In round six, you see a highlight reel of the knockout. You don’t know that Jake’s been timing his body for the first six rounds, 18 minutes of going for his hit, the left side of his body. And so when he fakes that way in round six and Tyron thinks he’s doing it again, and he puts all his power into one punch that may or may not land depending on how he is going to react, and it lands, he is the hero.”
Jake Paul is set to face off against Tommy Fury at Madison Square Garden on August 6. However, Tommy Fury might not be able to make it to the event. We’ll keep you updated on this ongoing story.
