William Daniels played the wise educator in the hit 1990s coming-of-age comedy, “Boy Meets World.” Whenever the show’s young stars found themselves in a tough spot, he was one of the adults they trusted to keep them on the right path. Just as he did as Mr. Feeny, Daniels is still there to offer advice to his castmates to this day.
Rider Strong, Danielle Fishel, and Will Friedle recently started a new podcast about their experiences on the iconic series. They spoke to People about various topics related to their time on the show. To a person, they all said that William Daniels is still there to offer them lessons whenever they’re needed.
Will Friedle, who played Eric Matthews on the show, spoke about his relationship with the 95-year-old actor. He said that talking to him is magical. He’s still got the same wisdom and wit as when the show was airing.
“He’s still giving [advice]. Ninety-five years old and he still shoots out the pearls of wisdom. His wife, Bonnie, as well. Talking to them is still magical.”
Danielle Fishel, who played Topanga, said William Daniels gives great relationship advice. It’s no wonder, either. Daniels has been married to his wife, Bonnie, since 1951. Fishel said his wisdom has helped her in various relationships as she’s grown up.
The new ‘Pod Meets World‘ podcast features plenty more of the cast gushing over their TV and real-world mentor. Because of the positive influence of William Daniels, the cast has remained close long since the show went off the air. That’s the kind of wisdom worthy of Mr. Feeny.
